byvia The Graffiti App
byvia uses your camera phone and GPS to log where you take a photo and upload it to our archive of graffiti, stencils, murals and street art. This app allows users to create a profile to share your neighborhoods colorful free art or allows you to just follow people and interact with artists around the world.
(1) Describe the challenge
Nothing is challenging for me, but if I were to pretend something was too hard... it would be figuring out how to advertise this app. I imagine with every new "innovation"you have doubts of how viable your product will be in the market. I could see this being very successful, but I don't know how to sell it.
(2) Who is the target audience?
The audience would be urban males and females who appreciate street art or how create street art. The age demographic would probably be from 13 - 35.
(3) What does the audience currently think about the brand or group?
The brand might be seen as cheesey or untrustworthy, however, I think if I got a few well known artists on board, people would embrace it. This would be a great way for artists with a political motive to share ideas too.
(4) What would we like the target to think and feel?
I want people to feel like they're part of a community.
(5) Which facts, evidence or thoughts will assist in this change of thinking?
This will be a place where artists can share and view other peoples hard work. I think this would build a great community of followers. Instagram has foodies and selfies, "byvia" has specifically street art.
(6) What is the brand essence?
The essence is experiencing urban art.
(7) What is the key emotion that will build a relationship with the core?
(8) audience?
People with good taste.
(9) What media will best facilitate our goal?
Camera phones, iPhone, Android and defiantly not Windows phone.
(10) What are the most critical elements?
I would need to make use of the camera and the GPS. People could create profile or view as an guest.
(11) What is the single most important takeaway?
(12) What do we want the audience to do?
I want them to participate actively or passively.
